Scheduled Maintenance: VPN appliance software update

Date:
Fri, 07/01/2011 - 22:00 - 23:00

We will be performing an upgrade of the software on our SSL VPN remote access appliance at this time. Customers who use this service will not be able to log in during the upgrade, and may need to update the VPN client components on their computers after the upgrade is complete. Other services will not be affected.

This upgrade should resolve an issue some customers have seen in relation to SSL certificate chain verification.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Scheduled Maintenance: XenServer host memory upgrade

Date:
Thu, 18/11/2010 - 22:00 - 23:59

We will be performing scheduled maintenance to upgrade the memory in one of our XenServer blades to improve the specification. Most customer virtual machines will migrated to other hosts before this upgrade, but a small number of virtual machines will need to be shut down for around half an hour - we will be contacting those customers affected individually.

All other virtual servers will remain online and unaffected, although all services are at risk during this period due to reduced redundancy and live migration required to move virtual machines off the host being upgraded.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused by this emergency maintenance.

Maintenance Update

We believe all customer servers should now be working and we will be checking the configuration over the next 24 hours.

If you are experiencing problems and need them resolved urgently please raise a support ticket.

Maintenance Update

The new network equipment has been installed and we are now bringing up customer servers and completing the firewall configuration.

Please accept our apologies for this maintenance overrunning.

cpanel02 Hostname Change

We have changed the hostname of our shared hosting server cpanel02 from cpanel02.london.networkeq.net to cpanel02.lhc.uk.networkeq.net. This change is necessary in order to standardise host names across our network and to enable additional SSL services such as FTPS.

The DNS entry will remain for a period of a few months but the SSL certificate has been changed. Shared hosting customers who use the full server hostname should update their records and configuration as soon as possible to reflect the change.
